Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019

I'm a bah-humbug type of person and not at all into seasonal festivities and parties. That said, this year's merriments are going to be hectic. The house has still to be decorated with trimmings, and the tree has also to be adorned with baubles and lights...and obviously, presents.
Twenty-one, relatives and partners, have booked a place at the table for a sit-down Xmas dinner on the 25th December. Preparations are now in full swing and the shopping lists are growing ever longer. Turkey and Vegetarian Nut Roast are on the menu, and thankfully everyone is bringing a contribution to the meal. I only hope we don't have massive amounts of sprouts and no roast potatoes.
The Christmas cake ingredients have also been sourced and are waiting in readiness for the mixing and baking. (Aren't Christmas cakes supposed to be baked a least a month in advance to allow the rum to soak in?)
Anyway, being the eldest seven children, I've grown accustomed to total chaos, but I think on the 24th an early night will be planned.
Wish me luck!

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and inspirational 2019.
